Design detailing and considerations

When it comes to developing a project, consider the aims for multifunctional usage. Even if the project is not for habitable use, insulating, ventilating and heating, along with good subbase design is a must. KBBM only build to high standards of performance, so the building will last for years and remain healthy. We follow minimum building regulations performances on notifiable works. We can refer to industry standards template detailing to meet 2022 Approved document Part A, C, F and L performances as standard for notifiable works. We use a recommended detail approach for non notifiable studios and outbuildings. Clients should appoint a Principal Designer/ Architect/ Engineer, for all Regulatory controlled projects, such as extensions, who carry the appropriate PI insurances. Most of our design work is limited to situations where a Building Regulations application is not needed (Exempt). Our skilled knowledge allows for us to work and advise Architects and Designs on compliance matters and recommendations as a Chartered Building Engineer, working collaboratively together.
